Program Goal:

The mission and purpose of the CBE Grant Program is to elevate the CBE brand to reach a broader education community and to demonstrate its commitment to the teachers of Florida. The increase in CBE brand visibility has a mutual benefit to the 5 partners as they too will receive recognition through the grant program marketing efforts. The proposed funding of the CBE grant program is a $5,000 CBE contribution matched by a $1,000 contribution from each of the 5 partners. This will create a $10,000 total grant program fund. There will be 20 grant award winners to be awarded $500 each.

CBE will have a grant application form on its new website scheduled to launch on or around June 9th followed by an aggressive marketing campaign that will run through August 1st. The grant application will include a media statement released to CBE to use grant applicants’ information and/or images in future promotional materials. The grant applications will be provided to the CBE board (or designated judges) and the final winners selected by August 4, 2023. All grant winners will be notified by email by August 15, 2023.

CBE will monitor and collect success stories of the grant winners and post ongoing content via its various channels (digital, social media and email) throughout the year to build momentum for the upcoming school year.

Grant Program Eligibility Criteria:

Location: The Innovative Teacher Grant Program is open to teachers who are currently employed in the state of Florida, United States.
Employment Status: Applicants must be actively employed for the following school year as full-time teachers in public, private, or charter schools.
Discipline and Grade Level: The grants are open to teachers from all disciplines and grade levels, including early childhood education, elementary education, middle school education, and high school education.
Application and Selection Process: Applicants are required to submit a completed application form. This includes their contact information, a brief description of their innovative ideas, and how the grant funds might be utilized for their classroom. Applications are open to those who wish to apply for themselves or to nominate another deserving teacher. Starting August 1st, applications will be reviewed by a panel of education experts, who will select the most deserving candidates based on their creativity, potential impact, and dedication to their students by August 4th.
